MOBY DICK SURF SCHOOL is located 200 meters from the central beach, in the heart of Lacanau-Océan. Our surf school activity is open from April to October.
The lessons offered by our surf school
Our surf lessons in Lacanau aim to make you progress in surfing, so that you become autonomous and that you practice this sport in complete safety. It is therefore not a question of “aquatic daycare”, but rather of a real educational process which will lead you step by step towards progress and success in surfing.
The investment, attention and experience of your instructor means that your difficulties and your qualities are quickly targeted. Thanks to his educational repertoire enriched by many years of observation of surfers, Christophe, your surf teacher adapts the educational exercises in line with your level, but also, according to the changing conditions of the ocean.
Our group surf lessons start from 10 years old. Private surf lessons start from 7 years old.
We offer 2 levels of lessons: beginner surf lessons and advanced surf lessons.
If you take the lessons on weekends or at the beginning of the week, and if the experience pleases you, you can continue your progress by booking your beginner surf training and your advanced surf training according to your level.
Equipment rental in our surf school
Surf rental operates year-round, unless we deem conditions impractical or unsafe.
In a quality and safety approach, the surfboards that we offer are regularly changed and revised. The suits are adapted to the temperature of the water, they are rinsed and disinfected. You surf with equipment appropriate to your level and your body type.
To go surfing, a currency exchange booth is available, and you can leave your belongings in the shelter.
For people wishing to acquire their own equipment, MOBY DICK SURF SHOP is also a surf shop in Lacanau, entirely dedicated to the biggest surf brands (O'Neill, Ocean and Earth, DHD, Softtech, Torq, Fcs, Futures, Carver, Von Zipper…).
