What does the beginner surf lesson in Lacanau consist of?
The beginner surf lesson is done at the edge. It will be a question of mastering your board against the foams. The foams being the already surging waves that are on the sand plateau.
At the start, it is preferable to train on these small waves to acquire the right timing, the right paddling and righting movements.
In the second part of the beginner's course, if the conditions are favorable, we will start a progression backwards to surf a "real" wave.
For safety reasons, it is obvious that the beginner will not find himself directly behind, off. (Unless the waves are very small!)
I offer educational workshops on the beach, depending on the typical faults encountered, I bring you solutions to correct you. I will follow you in the water throughout the session.
The session is not a fixed model, I adapt my pedagogy to individualities and to the conditions of the ocean.
Are you part of the beginner surfers group?
Lack of experience and knowledge of the Ocean:
- You've never done surfing.
- You already did an internship a long time ago ...
- You are not able to judge what type of waves or what ocean conditions you can surf.
The lack of security:
- In the water, you don't see what happened. You can't judge: how powerfully the waves break, how deep you are, how far away are other surfers and swimmers, where the dangerous practice areas are, what currents are present.
- You don't know what to do with the arrival of foams.
Lack of timing:
- You don't know when to turn to take the foams.
- You don't know when to lie down on your board.
- You don't know how long to row.
- You don't know when to stand up.
- You don't know when to turn.
Lack of technique
- You are not well balanced with the oar.
- You don't have good support to row effectively.
- You don't know how to straighten up yet.
- Once up, you don't keep balanced for long.
- Your upright position is not correct.
- You don't know how to take direction.
- You can't surf the foam from the start to the beach.
If this is the case for you, then this course is for you!
